What is an Eddington Number?

Named after the British astrophysicist Sir Arthur Eddington—who was also an avid cyclist—the Eddington number is a unique metric that captures both the distance and consistency of your cycling.

Your Eddington number E is the largest number where you have cycled at least E miles on at least E separate days.

Example: E = 50

You've ridden 50 or more miles on 50 or more different days. To increase to 51, you'll need 51 days of 51+ miles—making each increment progressively harder!
